Professional Supervision

While my background and training are primarily in social work, I regard supervision as an interprofessional discipline.  As well as social workers, I have supervised those in nursing, counselling, and education, both individually and in a group setting.

I offer training across a range of competencies, including:

• Supervision skills (both individual and group): For supervisors, supervisees, or organisations who want to enhance the competence, confidence, and wellbeing of their people.

• Groupwork: including group therapy and comprehensive group practice. 

• Communication: Clarity and cogency in managing your message, whether written or face-to-face.

• Family violence intervention 

• Sexual abuse intervention: Understanding and working with those with a history of using sexual abuse to live safer and more respectful lives.

• Conflict management:  From difficult conversations to de-escalation skills 

• Therapeutic community: Setting up and growing a TC, from establishment to practice 

• Interviewing and assessment 

• Offender rehabilitation:  working to promote an appreciation and commitment to the rights needs and feelings of others   

• Presentation skills: Conceptualising and developing Academic and professional presentations from beginning to end.

Consultancy

My consultancy practice is about advisory services around knowledge, skills, and experience in the people-serving sector.  

I offer contracts to suit, from short-term to long-term.
